When painting I escape into another dimension, an inner world of the imagination. Colour, travel, and music have always been my great passions. Over the last decade I have been exploring ways to give visual form to the abstract language of music. Most recently this has evolved into painting the sounds of the New Zealand rainforest. My paintings hint at another world beyond the physical and for those with the patience to look, there is an ‘otherness’ to be found.
